About the Salon

Birch Point Dog Spa is a full-service dog grooming salon, built in 2020 by my husband Mike. It's located in the very front room of my home which we converted into a cozy little one room grooming salon. The salon is equipped with an electric grooming table that can be lowered right down to the floor for our senior/larger pups and a ramp/door on my tub for the same purpose. My blow dryer motors are located below my shop which allows me to dry dogs with a lot less noise, which is much less stressful for them! I also have cage dryers that provide a gentle air flow to allow the dog to dry inside the kennel if need be. My shop is designed with the dogs comfort in mind and I pride myself in providing a relaxing, stress-free environment for your dog. ​​​

What Sets Us Apart?

Here at Birch Point Dog Spa it's not just a grooming appointment, it's a spa day!

When you come to Birch Point Dog Spa your pup is getting an appointment catered to their individual needs.

I schedule my appointments one client at a time and do my best to have the salon clear of other dogs during your pups appointment.

(Sometimes appointments do overlap slightly on some days despite my best effort. So from time to time their may be a dog waiting for pickup in a kennel when you arrive, but with reactive dogs I make sure your dog is the only one for their appointment). 

When you arrive there is plenty of room on my front lawn/property to walk your dog around prior to (and after) their appointment. 

(I encourage owners to do so, so your dogs can go potty and sniff around first)

Feel free to take after photos of your pup's spa day in front of my pretty gardens and flowers!

I provide a waste can and poop bags out front by the gated entrance for your convenience.

(I ask that you please stay within the marked boundaries and clean up after your dog). 

The front of the shop has a gated and covered porch for your pup's safety and your convenience.

(It's great when it rains/snows!)

I have two rocking chairs which you can feel free to sit in while you wait for me to finish up your pup (if you arrive a few minutes early to pick up)

There is also a big bowl of water out there for thirsty pups.

When you enter the salon you will be greeted with peaceful, soothing music for your dogs.

There is never loud, jarring music played here.

Your pups will be greeted with cookies by me every time, never a stranger!

I cater the amount of time needed for your dogs individual appointment which is why appointment times vary and I do not charge hourly for that reason.

I will never rush a dog's appointment time to please an owner.

I am a humanity over vanity groomer and will do what's best for your dog every time!

I do not pride myself on being a "fast groomer".

I believe in quality over quantity while keeping my appointment times reasonable and my prices fair. 

Dogs are allowed a break/chance after their bath to shake and dry off and enjoy some treats and relax before getting on the table to finish drying.

I protect all dogs ears during the drying process and use Happy Hoodies if necessary.

My blow dryer motors are located below my shop in the basement which makes it so much quieter during the drying process for your dogs!

There are five windows in my salon that give your dog almost a panoramic view of outside and a quiet distraction when they are up on my table being groomed or bathed and make the salon bright and open!

When possible your dog(s) will be allowed to free roam in my shop after all groom completions.

(For safety reasons though all dogs are kenneled when another client is entering the shop or if another dog is on the table for grooming.

This is for all dog's safety as loose dogs can create a distraction/safety hazard in the salon.)

I do my best to provide you and your dog with the best experience possible at every appointment and pride myself in making your dogs feel, comfortable, relaxed and clean!
